What a festive evening it is whenever I get a chance to talk about #StarWars! I joined @dmfilly.bsky.social to break down this week's #Andor batch on @screenpagepod.bsky.social - pull a Kleya, and have a listen!

1️⃣ AJ. Put all his eggs in the Kaelan basket, and it didn't pan out. So close, but no cigar. I'm also not 100% certain he'd win in a F2 against Kaelan given some of his tendencies to bloviate and not acknowledge his own flaws. A huge part of the season's intrigue, and a perfect Fallen Angel.

2️⃣ Kaelan. Fell short - and may have fallen short regardless of his F3 choice. But between extending his Immunity record to a nigh-unbeatable SEVEN, and a very strong opening argument at FTC, I'm still giving him the 2. Great game that I wish we'd seen more of, and a worthy runner-up.

3️⃣ Myles. Dynamic, record-breaking win, capped off with a phenomenal Final Tribal Council performance that filled with confidence, self-awareness and artful storytelling. A truly great addition to the roster of AU Sole Survivors.

#SurvivorAU Huge congrats to Myles - one of the most bombastic roller coasters of a winning game. Absolutely deserved victory, and an instant icon.

And big ups to Kaelan too - a beautifully well-rounded game, and I was so glad to see it rewarded with a vote.

#SurvivorAU FTC Cardinal Sin: the non-answer. It's hard to be cornered and you don't want to give a dishonest answer, but I feel like you've got to find a way to address the heart of the inquiry. Somehow.

I'm worried that it's giving SA Jeanne and "luck".

I'm loving that Kaelan & Myles are both interjecting & battling on each others' answers but are both doing it with respect. Quality stuff. #SurvivorAU

1️⃣ Kaelan. Kinda a default point. F2 deal with AJ seems legit, but it doesn't feel like he's in the best position to beat him. Myles is incentivised to take him to the end over AJ, but again: a tough opponent. Zara might have given him the best chance to win, but is it better to just ensure FTC? 🤔

2️⃣ AJ. Impressive to lock Kaelan's allegiance in when, by all means, he was the biggest head to take this round. A F2 deal with Kaelan gives him a strong chance of making the end - so back a sure thing rather than take a gamble by working with Zara who'd literally just exploited a 2-1-1-1.

3️⃣ Myles. Won a clutch Immunity to save himself, and hopping on board the Zara vote was way better than leaving it to the chance of fire. It gives him the better chance to win the FIC, & Zara's explicitly shown that she's willing to hang him out to dry anyway.

Honourable Mention:

*️⃣ Myles. Brilliant plan for the AJ blindside, but left at the altar by Zara - and in a way that thrusts him right back to the bottom of the tribe. Given he thrives there, I wouldn't count him out, but it's looking real dicey for finale week.

1️⃣ Zara. While she was the final decision maker on a beautiful 2-1-1-1, I really think she made the wrong play here. While removing Kate might have given her a cleaner path to the end, I'm not sure if she can win without a move like the AJ blindside. Still, broke Kaelan's streak & deciding vote.

2️⃣ Kaelan. As recently as last night, I'd have thought there'd be no way Kaelan could survive without the necklace. But his relationships with his fellow Graduates - and still having them as shields - kept him safe. Plus, a non-zero chance he makes Final 2 even without winning his way there.

3️⃣ AJ. While he didn't see Myles' plan coming - and probably should have gone home - this is top score for not only getting his target out, but also his positioning where Zara thought keeping him was better for her game. It really is his game to lose now.

Honourable Mention:

*️⃣ AJ. The only person who actually got what he wanted this Tribal, but I can't give him a point when it happened without his control. Kaelan & Zara repeatedly pushed back on his transparent self-interest on the beach & even Kate wasn't willing to work with his 3-2-1 to save her.

1️⃣ Zara. She didn't get her way in the end, but that was completely out of her hands. Without the twist, she worked hard to keep the vote locked down on the threat to HER game, stifling AJ's (& arguably Kaelan's) best interests to keep Kate as a shield & take away a potential number for Myles.

2️⃣ Kate. While her unwillingness to vote out Morgan was awful gameplay (though sweet above-table), this episode was decided by challenges & she saved herself from certain doom AND didn't have to write her buddy's name. Also a decent chance she could find new legs as the Postgrads jockey for position.
