The fact that Schumer couldn’t — or wouldn’t — keep his caucus together to oppose this mealy-mouthed crap after the hammering the R’s took last week utterly disqualifies him for his position.

I don’t necessarily have a problem with Schumer approving negotiations — might as well see if there’s an agreement everyone can live with. But those should have ended last week after R’s refused to extend ACA tax credits for a year. That should have been the final offer.
