Sisters in hate

I am once again asking you to read this book and understand American white women’s role in the rise of Nazism.

American Nazis in DC are shouting what they previously were merely saying out loud. (The "quiet part" has not been the quiet part for years, by the way.)

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Eman. Before this she stayed home with her children Nabil, 7, Muhammad, 4 and Taim, 2 and her husband was a barber. Her husband was shot in the foot trying to get aid and Nabil is suffering from severe skin infections from contaminated water.

Especially given that Wikipedia is under concerted attack from the right (see also: Elon launching his competitor) and we just saw a gunman storm their leadership meeting *days* ago, be mindful of anything trying to undermine the site while it’s under siege from all of the AI platforms.

Jimmy is not an exec of the foundation that runs Wikipedia, and while he’s on the board, he’s not the chair. I would bet he doesn’t represent the view of the board β€” thus using PR to try to route around them. Would watch for an actual statement from the org. wikimediafoundation.org/role/executi...

Re: #SNAP loss - everyone seems to focus on families with kids, and rightly so, but people, please check on your #elderly neighbors. They may not be as connected or aware, they might not drive, and the need will be significant. Please make sure they have access to #food as best you can.

House lawmakers told their paychecks are delayed until government reopens House lawmakers have been told their paychecks will be delayed until Congress passes a new funding bill. CBS News congressional reporter Taurean Small has the latest on the government shutdown.

Well. This is from Thursday- have they done anything about it?
Maybe their own paychecks don't matter?

Local & state police are not a group of pawns who will suddenly & publicly realize their complicity, then repent by leading the revolution against ICE / CBP. They don’t need to be gently convinced with good faith arguments & promises of absolution. They’re the police, FFS, & they’re not our saviors.

I unpacked the implications of Nick Fuentes' collaboration with Tucker Carlson and the former Fox News host's willingness to portray the white nationalist livestreamer as a victim.

One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should somehow be more concerned about how a poor person uses the welfare system than we are about the ultra wealthy swaying the highest positions or power in our country to their favor.

Woman sits in car for 14 hours to get food during New Birth Baptist church food giveaway More than 2,000 people waited in their cars in line Saturday morning in order to receive food.

Some people waited in line up for 14 hours to receive a food box from a church giveaway.

500 people volunteered to help and they still ran out of food.

Remember for every one person a food bank feeds, SNAP feeds 9.

By turning off food assistance the regime is starving Americans.

The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all.
Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit- and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.
And the smell of rot fills the country.
Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth.
There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot.
The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.

Kash Patel’s girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, warns that additional sleeper cells are preparing to launch attacks across the United States.

How many 26-year-old, aspiring country singers do you know of who are featured media guests on sleeper cell attacks?

Between what came before and what happened tonight, Dems ought to treat encounters with CBS reporters as presumptively hostile and untrustworthy. A small thing, but there’s no way out of this disaster if the party continues helplessly submitting to unequal treatment from ~all mediating institutions.
