Demonschool

A rare instance of really enjoying a game and desperately wanting it to end. The gameplay was fun, but if the amount of battles had even been cut in half, there would still have been too many. I really liked the cast, graphics, music, and story. Just less fights please.

Demonschool

Unbeatable

Again, so bad at rhythm games, and my backlog wheel picked two in a row. Aesthetically, Unbeatable is peak. Unfortunately, Unbeatable's gameplay is not; It's incredibly frustrating in all but Arcade mode. The music was great and I want to listen to Bookend on repeat now.

Unbeatable

Again, so bad at rhythm games, and my backlog wheel picked two in a row. Aesthetically, Unbeatable is peak. Unfortunately, Unbeatable's gameplay is not; It's incredibly frustrating in all but Arcade mode. The music was great and I want to listen to Bookend on repeat now.

I’m about halfway through Unbeatable now. I adore the visuals, characters, music, VA work, etc. I’m disappointed the gameplay in the Story mode doesn’t feel good and some things feel broken/not done. I hope they plan on polishing it more because everything else about it is amazing.

I am so BAD at rhythm games! No really, I nearly quit in the security area because my timing is so awful. The moving to the beat environment overwhelmed me. But I stuck with it and was so glad I did. The game oozes charm and I love hack 'n' slash combat even when I suck.

Hi-Fi Rush

I am so BAD at rhythm games! No really, I nearly quit in the security area because my timing is so awful. The moving to the beat environment overwhelmed me. But I stuck with it and was so glad I did. The game oozes charm and I love hack 'n' slash combat even when I suck.

Somehow my backlog wheel has landed on the only two rhythm games back-to-back. Hi-Fi Rush was good despite being rhythmically challenged, hopefully Unbeatable will be too.

Starting to think our kid learned how to say "shit," and it's the only word she is going to use consistently and loudly.

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean

Good music, pretty good combat (mid-game), and a dope story. It took a bit to get invested, and the game really started to overstay its welcome (also fuck Zosma). But enjoyable overall. Definitely interested to see Origins eventually!

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean

Good music, pretty good combat (mid-game), and a dope story. It took a bit to get invested, and the game really started to overstay its welcome (also fuck Zosma). But enjoyable overall. Definitely interested to see Origins eventually!

I’ve really enjoyed Baten Kaitos, but Zosma Tower drops it at least a full rating. The controls are not good enough for this shit.

The amount of Fable fans that apparently think body morphing is the only thing that makes Fable what it is is larger than you’d think. People will look for anything to not enjoy a new game I guess.

A cute, short visual novel with a fun style about two mammals investigating the dark underbelly of Nut City. It very much did not take itself seriously, and I found that endearing. It did have one of its endings just seem to not work at all sadly though.
