I think it really clarifies what "greatness" means to them.

I don't necessarily disagree with this take, except when it's used by certain progressives to suggest that it's okay to leave some groups of people (i.e. trans people) out in the cold. Ideological purity shouldn't be necessary for progressives, but inclusion/intersectionality should.
