The fundamental problem with Sarah McBride's logic in the New York Times today is that the fight over transgender rights is not one where "if only we were a little less confrontational" is the driving factor.

The armed, yellow-vested "peacekeepers" at the Utah 50501 protest in Salt Lake City opened fire into a crowd, hitting two people:

A Sāmoan fashion designer with two young kids, who died.

A second-generation Venezuelan immigrant and antiracist protester who was legally carrying. Cops charged HIM.

If you were encouraged, inspired, motivated by No Kings Day, please think about what the next steps are. It cannot stop with one day of protest. We need consistent organized pressure on the pillars of support under Trump. Now is the time to level up and do the prep for a General Strike.

"First responders" needs to be abolished from style guides because its purpose is to smuggle cops into a category that includes EMTs and firefighters.

The phrase is deliberate copaganda that allows abusers to borrow an aura of respectability from other groups.
