Am 30. September sind wir um 20 Uhr im Großen Saal der Hamburger Elbphilharmonie: mit Triller-Autor Sebastian Fitzek, einem der erfolgreichsten deutschsprachigen Autoren der Gegenwart.

Astronomiegeschichte - Die Elbphilharmonie und der Zeitball von Hamburg Der Zeitball auf einem Speicher im Hamburger Hafen war eine wichtige astronomische Einrichtung. Heute steht an dieser Stelle die Elbphilharmonie.

Vor Funk, Satelliten und vor der @elbphilharmonie.de: Auf dem alten Kaispeicher A, wo heute die Elphi steht, diente ab 1876 ein schwarzer Ball mit eineinhalb Metern Durchmesser als Zeitsignal. Er hing an einem Gerüst auf der Spitze, täglich um 12 Uhr (Greenwich) fiel der Zeitball 3 Meter nach unten.
