The U.S. government wants to ban TikTok out of concern that user data is going to China.

They demand TikTok be sold to a U.S. owner. This would mean instead of data possibly going to China, it would be in U.S. hands.

How about making sure user data is private, period?

As an introduction, thought I would let folks know that my book Trailer Park America: Reimagining Working-class Communities has been out for close to a year. It is an environmental, community action story about slow violence in a mobile home park that eventually closed.
