A pottery jar with a narrow neck and rounded body, decorated with a simple incised face and beard-like pattern on the front, displayed among similar pottery vessels in a museum case.

A charming Bes jar, on display at the Petrie Museum of #Egyptian #Archaeology. Vessels with the face of the protective deity Bes were thought to impart his protection to their content.
