I googled the title of an academic research paper published online last December by one of the top five journals in the field to see if it was in print yet. The title is a question, so the AI offered an answer. The answer it gave was more or less the exact answer the paper shows cannot be true.

For someone who claims to be an originalist, Wurman seems awfully quick to speak and write when he hasn’t done or consulted the relevant historical research. (I have in mind his paper on birthright citizenship.)

It seems to me that conservative judges are more than willing to make arbitrary distinctions to distinguish precedents and cases that aren’t relevantly different. In short, they lack a commitment to what Dworkin called integrity.
