How kind of her to drop a scoop in your lap like that.

Isnโ€™t that good?

Okay, Iโ€™ll leave with a serious question. Why not use all who want to be foster parents as best as they can be used? A family could plausibly be in the foster program for years without a lgbt foster child. And, as the families note, the state can use its discretion in placement. Have a great night

At least itโ€™s apparently okay for you to be bigoted and intolerant with respect to religious families.

Good question! Rejecting loving families already successfully fostering is both intolerant and an injustice.

If Massachusetts had a surplus of foster parents already, perhaps it could be somewhat justified. I doubt that is the case, though.

They are not โ€œwould beโ€ foster parents, they are multi-year experienced, committed foster parents whom the state is willing to discard for ideological reasons even with an extreme shortage of foster homes.

Does that mean weโ€™re going to get rid of our standing army like we did during peacetime when we last had a Department of War?

Except the military has supported law enforcement at sea for over forty years. In 1983 I was on a navy ship that executed coast guard counter drug operations and intercepted and took over a ship carrying a bunch of drugs, arresting the crew. Disabling fire approved for use.

Even if the not-going-to-happen constitutional amendment was successfully ratified, I think the best youโ€™d get is the term limit clock starting at that point. Youโ€™re not going to boot Thomas and Roberts off the court in the first year.

I canโ€™t read the post you replied to, because of the ridiculous blocking here. Sorry if I missed your point.

I just think that after over half a year she should be leading *something* or discussing plans for something, if she intends to make the case sheโ€™s a leader

I dunno; the job sheโ€™s being moved to is certainly more impactful to todayโ€™s navy. Sheโ€™ll be in the room, at the table ,for all policy and and budgetary decisions for the navy. USNA is mainly ceremonial.

I rode ships a few times as a Navy civilian, a few times in staterooms but also in 60 man berthing on Blue Ridge in 2009, and a godawful berthing space onboard Kitty Hawk in 2006.

When you spend 40+ years saying โ€œdeath to Israelโ€, surround Israel with terrorists and arm them to the teeth (see: hezbollah a year ago), and attack with hundreds of drones and missiles as Iran did, Iโ€™d say they assumption that innocence should be over.

17.06.2025 01:34 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I mean, Iran *could* just acknowledge Israelโ€™s right to exist, and cease funding proxies created to terrorize the Jewish state. Further, they could stop arresting and killing Iranian women for showing their hair, and provide rights to all its citizens, as Israel does. Just a thought.

Hur declined to prosecute Biden, and I agree that Trump clearly broke the law. Garland and Jack Smith screwed up that case by waiting too long to file it & making it too complicated, and then Biden screwed them by failing to allow a proper Democratic candidate a chance to win the election.
