Well, after all the hype around KDE’s birthday and plenty of angst about Windows 11, I blew away my Windows drive on my gaming PC and replaced it with Debian 13 running KDE Plasma on Wayland. So far, everything is working well. I may blog about what I needed to do to get some things working.

This is a great read about "open social," and a very good introduction to how the protocol that powers Bluesky works. At some point I might tinker with this myself. overreacted.io/open-social/

I still haven’t watched all of Stargate: Atlantis. As a fan of SG-1 and Jason Momoa, I realize this is a problem.

That’s unfortunate. I liked Chakotay.

Luckily, I’ve developed an ability to disassociate characters with the actors they portray them. Otherwise, I’d have a real hard time enjoying the Mission Impossible movies.

I eventually finished 2077, but had to resort to using WeMod for god mode against the final boss.

I don’t think I’ve ever played a cyberpunk TTRPG, unless you count Shadowrun.

I recently switched the manuscript for my current TTRPG project from LaTeX to Typst, and I'm pretty happy with the new tool so far.

Godzilla: The Series surprisingly managed to correctly predict the advent of Gen AI in 1998, and had an appropriate lesson at the end of the episode.

Finding information about Mithras is really difficult, since his adherents were secretive and didn’t leave any records. The closest we can get is the version of him present in Zoroastrianism, which is pretty far removed from the Roman cult.

My bachelor’s was in history. I just got accepted into a software engineering master’s program on Monday. There’s a twenty year gap between the two.
