Wrapped up a pretty good week with some Korean BBQ. Finished a term for my MS program with A’s in both classes, I was accepted to speak at a conference, and a publisher seems initially interested in my book. I can’t say who or what just yet, but 👀. Still, I wouldn’t have minded a dinner buddy.

Hot take: As a developer, I think @gitlab.com is under-appreciated in the tooling ecosystems - RubyGems, NPM, crates, etc. all lean towards GitHub. It's time GitLab gets treated as a first-class citizen in the ecosystems.

It is such a hard thing to do when everything seems to prove those negative thoughts right. Therapy has been really helpful for me too. :)

For my author friends: Passive voice vs active voice. I sometimes use passive voice to convey a different feeling than active voice, but school papers don't like that. Long live passive voice? What are your thoughts?
