23.09.2025 12:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Worth noting though this only covers the $83b planned thru Dec 26 β so excludes US orders already placed (F-35s) or rumored for the more distant future (P-8s, more F-35s). So maybe not as big a paradigm shift in procurement as implied by the Politico article.

Today's a busy day in Civil War history: #otd in 1862, Union forces were victorious at the Battle of Iuka, MS; in 1863, the Battle of Chickamauga (depicted here in an Alfred Waud sketch) opened; and in 1864, Phil Sheridan defeated Jubal Early's Confederates at Third Winchester.

1)What is happening in America is hugely concerning.
2) It is in both Britainβs and Europe's interest to work closely together.
3) Neither Brits nor Europeans can afford to openly break with the US right now.
4) Making the most of that impossible situation is very hard.
