Idahoans look out for each other. It’s time our leaders did the same by investing in schools, infrastructure, and the future of the state instead of giving away the resources needed to fund them.

When you drain revenue year after year, communities pay for it: weaker services, deferred repairs, and fewer opportunities for kids and working families. This isn’t inevitable, it’s the outcome of choices made in Boise.

Idaho’s tax cuts didn’t “save” money... They removed over $4 billion from the state budget in five years. Now we’re left with outdated schools, understaffed classrooms, and teachers paying for basic supplies out of their own pocket. That’s the real price of these policies.

The wealthy! This would end up being a redistribution of wealth. So the "fear campaign of socialism" is about keeping the poor from voting for what they truly need and want.

The whole ad campaign on the "fear of socialism" started in 1871. It was an attempt of the wealthy to keep the poor from voting. Why? Because, they'd want roads, schools, hospitals, etc. The only way that you could pay for that is by putting a tax on property. Who owned all of the property? 🧵

The House just passed a bill condemning "horrors of socialism" as Mamdani arrives in Washington. Same fear tactics as usual. It's really a cry from the wealthiest, "He's going to make us share!"

We are reading about ways in which the Radical Right Wing is trying to rework school curricula. The focus has been on how people and events in history are being erased. But for me, the really dangerous part of the curricula is what was entirely erased was human agency…

It can lead to more stable businesses, reduced poverty, and a more equitable society by lowering costs for families and leveling the playing field for children from diverse backgrounds.

Free, quality childcare care would positively impact a community by boosting the local economy, increasing parental workforce participation, and improving long-term child development.

We are in a preposterous predicament where we are allowing the top 1% to take an ever increasing share of the wealth. All the while, we are seeing a fleecing of the government, the fleecing of ordinary families, and we don't see the connection?

This isn’t about politics — It’s about people’s lives, dignity, and protecting kids. This shouldn’t be controversial.

At the end of this year 101,605 Idahoans stand to lose their enhanced premium tax credits and face an average increase of $407/mo per person. If these cuts go forward, many families will be forced to choose between maintaining their health coverage and paying for basics like groceries and childcare.

The federal government has shut down, but the real crisis is unfolding in our health care system. Premiums are already climbing and families are struggling to keep up with rising costs and basic medical needs. 🧵
