Why evangelicals couldn't care less about Trump's Epstein scandal They have a long history of falling for narcissists posing as Saviors.

"When you see the United States as a 'Christian country,' as the MAGA religious do and are convinced that white people of European descent are best suited to rule it, you might think weโ€™d be better off without the Constitution or even democracy in any form."

just so people understand this, there are *twenty-two* (currently identified) different phyla of viruses.

(also viruses are non-cellular life so the taxonomic system is different. RFK does not know any of this.)

I am horrified. If you use US material, download all old reports you use. The record will be erased. Even that might not save you: every report sourced from the US will now have to be suspected of politicised manipulation and will in the future the same credibility as Iranโ€™s human rights reports

A reminder yet again that the people who position themselves as the "defenders of women's sports" when attacking trans people actually hate women's sports and women athletes... especially Black women athletes...

Do the Brits genuinely not realise how utterly deranged this comes across to normal people. Itโ€™s like your country has been gripped with some kind of hysteria like out of an M Night Shyamalan film.

Why a NASA satellite that scientists and farmers rely on may be destroyed on purpose The Trump administration has asked NASA staffers to draw up plans to end at least two satellite missions that measure carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, according to current and former NASA employees.

Is there any precedent for the current American administrationโ€™s hostility to scientific inquiry? Other than Phnom Penh in 1975?

I saw the electronic scales and lots of packaging in the shop and asked the lady at the till if they shipped things all over the world: she made a face and said they used to, but #Brexit has stopped them as the massive increase in bureaucracy and consequent paperwork is too difficult to deal with
