Rental Family is a cozy sweet movie that audiences will definitely get into. Sure I find the plot predictable along with lean too much on heart moments, but the cast including Brendan Fraser, cinematography, directing, characters, and score make it up to be a decent film to watch. 7/10.

Realistically: It’ll be KPop Demon Hunters, Zootopia 2, Arco, Little Amelie, and maybe Scarlet. Elio is wildcard to me if it bounce back throughout the award season from critics groups and industry awards

It Was Just an Accident is an outstanding movie. From the story, writing, directing, cast, characters, themes, cinematography, stressful moments, and a chilling ending that is so good that ends making it as one of the best films of this year. Highly recommended! 9/10.

Wicked: For Good delivers an emotional conclusion even though it is not as great as the first film. It repeat similar problems with Act II but the cast, production and costumes, musical, themes and emotional beats make it up to be a good film that Wicked fans are looking forward to seeing. 7/10.

The Running Man (2025) is not only a poor take of the Stephen King novel, but it is Edgar Wright’s weakest film due to plot, writing, tone, and pacing being inconsistent along with thin characters. Cast, action scenes, visuals, and production design were at least decent for most of the film. 6/10.

In Your Dreams is a frustratingly mixed bag animated film from Netflix which it tries to tackle themes of divorce but with mixed results. The plot, writing, characters, and humor weren’t all that great, but the animation, voice acting, heart, and themes makes up for from being a bad. 5.5/10.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is fine for what it is as I do fine it repetitive with the plot along with weak writing. The good parts like the cast, visual style, and production design for example is what carry this film on it’s own. This is not for me, but I can see fans enjoying it more. 6/10.

Now You See Me 2 is weaker than the first film due to convoluted plot and a weak script despite the cast, the visual style, production values, and magic scenes too it had. Jon M. Chu is also weak as he didn’t direct this sequel very well but overall, this one feels the same but worse. 5/10.

Now You See Me is a decent popcorn flick that audiences like it more than critics. The plot, writing characters, and the twist towards the end holds it back from liking it but the cast, direction, visual style, heist scenes, and production values is makes it up in being decent for what it is. 6/10.

The Running Man from 1987 is a fun crowd pleasing action film despite being loosely based from the Stephen King novel. It is over the top and the effects doesn’t age well, but thanks to the cast, action scenes, production and costumes, and some tie in themes, it makes it work for what it is. 7/10.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is not only cute, but it is one of the year’s best animated films thanks to the story, animation, heart, direction, themes, voice acting, characters, and tone it has to make this film very cute to watch. Highly recommended for families and animation fans! 8/10.

Predator: Badlands is another great addition to the franchise to keep it fun and faithful. From the direction, performances, action scenes, world building, cinematography, production design, makeup, and score are the good things to come that Dan Trachtenberg manages to achieve once again. 8/10.

Blue Moon is definitely one of Richard Linklater’s most calmest films to date while making a solid film. From the story, writing, directing, the cast including Ethan Hawke, cinematography, production and costumes, makeup, and tone is what makes this film a bit compelling to watch. 8/10.

A House of Dynamite is one of Katheryn Bigelow’s weaker films as I was left feeling disappointed when it comes to the plot structure, writing, ending, and repetitive moments despite the cast, directing, some intensity moments, and it interesting premise it has. 6/10.

Chainsaw Man- The Movie: Reze Arc is a fun great anime movie that fans of the manga and series are going to love. From the story, direction, voice acting, characters, animation, action scenes, and music is what made this movie exciting to watch. It may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it! 8/10.

Bugonia is a solid English language remake from Yorgos Lanthimos thanks to the performances, direction, cinematography, score, some of the humor, and production design although tonal shift, repetitive moments, and characters prevent this film from being great but it is still solid on it own. 7/10.

Night of the Living Dead is a tremendous zombie horror film that holds up well to this day. From the story, writing, directing, themes, acting, production design, editing, cinematography, and special effects is what makes this film hold up so well for many years since it came out. 9.5/10. 👍🏻🧟‍♂️

Zodiac is an excellent mystery thriller film that David Fincher has accomplished. From the story, writing, directing, the cast, characters, cinematography, editing, production values, score, and it historical accuracy that makes this film very riveting to watch despite being overlong. 9/10.

The Descent is a great well made horror film that can make you feel claustrophobic throughout. From the story, directing, the cast, the scares, production design, practical effects including makeup, cinematography, score, sound design, and themes that this film very intense to watch. 8/10.

Urban Legend is unfortunately not but a Scream knockoff as a film itself despite predicted many outcomes in real life. Despite the premise, cast, and kills it has, the rest feels derivative from the story, writing, characters, direction, and cliches that brought the movie down for me. 4/10.

I watch both Frankenstein (1931) and Vicious back to back while the former is great and while the latter sucked. The 1931 film is definitely a classic that I highly recommend but the latter sucked due to bad execution of interesting concept while Dakota Fanning wasted her talents in this movie.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere has good effort and intention when it comes to the direction, performance, themes, cinematography, and behind the scenes, it just the first half wasn’t all that good along with supporting characters undercut and hit or miss writing. 6/10.

Shelby Oaks is a decent frightening film from YouTube critic, Chris Stuckmann, thanks to the atmosphere, performances, directing, and the first half. The second half and writing however stumbles and prevents it from being a really good film. It good effort from Stuckmann though. 6/10.

Frankenstein is a another visual feast from director Guillermo Del Toro from the craftsmanship like cinematography, designs, and make up along with the acting and directing, it makes this film awe inspiring despite the long runtime and supporting characters issues for example. 7/10.

Regretting You is a weird but messy movie due to poor grasp of the subject matter including the plot, writing, tone, direction, characters, dialogue, and shameless advertisement that make me dumbfounded of what I’m watching right now which not even the acting can save it. 4/10.

Clown is a derivative version of The Fly that resulted Spider-Man director, Jon Watts’ first film weakest film to date. From the plot, writing, direction, editing characters, runtime, and style over substance make this movie mediocre which not even the makeup can’t do much to make it up. 4/10.

After the Hunt has to be Luca Guadagnino’s worst film to date with the story, writing, direction, themes, characters, pacing, and score tells apart altogether which not even the acting can save this one. This is dud from the auteur director unfortunately. 4/10.

The Twits is a generic kids flick that doesn’t stay faithful to the works of Roald Dahl. The plot, writing, humor, direction, characters, and songs were bland and dull which not even the animation and voice acting can save it. Wouldn’t recommend for those that are diehard fans of the book. 4/10.
