Sixty years ago today, A Charlie Brown Christmas premiered on television screens. The story of how the Peanuts gang got to the screens is quite a journey through trials, tribulations, and stupid execs. Join me and discover When Peanuts Became Animated.

Netflix unveiled a first look at their upcoming 2026 animated film Steps which will be a twist on Cinderella from the stepsisters' point of view. Even if I haven't been impressed by the animated films produced by Netflix as of late, this does sound cute at least. Guess we'll see.

This is basically all I'm seeing with the Ellisons not getting Warner Bros. right now. Talk about pathetic.

Reviewers and critics shouldn't have to bow down to their audience if their review is different from the general consensus. If it's different from their opinion, that's fine. Makes their voice more unique than anything. You shouldn't get so attached to what critics say.

Seeing Zootopia 2 crack almost a billion worldwide in less than two weeks only proves my point about how stupid Netflix is with theaters. People will see films in theaters and make them huge hits. Barbenheimer wouldn't have been what it was had it happened on Netflix.

One of the lyrics says "I'm losing my mind". Yeah, that sums it up.

Movies aren't content and they shouldn't be treated as digital coupons by a studio that they can wave around to people. They're works of art that deserve to belong in the cinema and also be put on home video collections to be cherished. That's what makes them special.

20th Century Studios has slightly delayed The Simpsons Movie 2. The film will now be released on September 3, 2027.

It makes me that much more tempted to cancel every streaming service and just buy more Blu-Rays and movie tickets. I hate this so much and I'm gonna fight against it so hard.

Movies belong in the cinema and deserve to be treasured. Not being flashed around as a digital coupon.

I have zero hopes for the Netflix/Warner Bros deal. I know it's gonna be another disastrous merger if it goes through and knowing how anti-theater/home video Netflix is, I know they're gonna do even more damage to the film landscape. I don't like it. I hate it, I just hate it.

I'm scared too. I did hear somewhere Netflix is convinced to still keep WB films in theaters, but God. I just don't want another movie studio to merge with another studio. Though I'll say this, and I never thought I would. I'd prefer Netflix to Paramount. I want Ellison to lose so badly.

I'm at least happy that they still are planning a third Mutant Mayhem film despite this, but still. Poor Naito. Ellison is such an awful human being.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that there are still talks at Paramount over making a third Mutant Mayhem film after they make the second. I'm honestly relieved cause this is my favorite Ninja Turtles incarnation and I was worried the Skydance merger killed it. Very happy.

He's a spoiled nepo-baby who had zero experience working in film and weasled his way to the top. Of course, he wouldn't know what being humbled is like and know what it's like to be brought down to earth. When you're at the top of the world, all you feel is ice on your feet.

I don't want any major film studio to buy Warner Bros, but seeing how much David Ellison is being so pathetic and whining over not getting to be able to merge it into Paramount really is just showing more to people how damaging the Paramount/Skydance merger has been. Insane.

Hope DiCaprio doesn't pull a flamethrower on her on stage. lol

One film I know Blue Sky Studios was making before their sudden closure was a comedy called Oh My Gods which followed a fox determined to make himself a deity among other gods. It really makes me sad knowing what this and other films this decade could've been had Blue Sky lived.

She's a very hands-off producer from what I gathered and is able to let the artists make the films they want to make. Meanwhile, I've seen several directors talk about David getting final cut and I still remember the feud that he had with Alex Garland on Annihilation. It was so pathetic and petty.

There is no man I wanted booted out of Hollywood more than David Ellison. The more I looked into him before the merger, the more I realized how evil he was. I'm glad everyone has turned on him, but I really hope that he's gone sooner than later. I don't want him ruining more film studios.

Exactly. Critics and audiences can both offer valuable feedback to a movie and whether or not it'll work or not. I don't think anyone is trying to attack it. Basically, what everyone wants to see is a good movie. No one wants to go into a movie ready to bash it, and that includes critics.
