The last week has been hot in temperature but chill in vibe. I finished this snail embroidery piece, our Pyrenees finally made it to the groomer! (she must feel a million times better!), kitties finding Costco boxes, and our five chicks moved from the garage brooder into their back yard coop!

Bluesky you deserve some fireflies in a cornfield. Not pictured-the young hawk chased away by robins, the enormous kale after the rain, the smell of the tomato plant leaves.

An embroidered realistic green cicada, in several shades of green and light blue. Delicate wings are done in straight stitch in brown, and show some veining. The right wing is a little crooked because the beige fabric wasn't pulled all the way tight during stitches, but overall the cicada looks alright. It's in an oval hoop oriented vertically.

Friday finish of this cicada that I started and abandoned months ago.

This dog politely asked for a musician's drumstick in the middle of their performance. Always excited to find a fellow stick lover. 12/10
