POV: you suggested a unique numbering scheme for your train platforms

Could the solution be to mandate that operators let third parties sell their tickets for individual legs? Then it becomes a question of who can build the best journey planner. Not sure how to ensure passenger rights on combined journeys, though.

Where do you find open data on trenitalia’s punctuality?

I'd need to do a bit of work to filter them out. My assumption: although night trains have a relatively higher average delay, there are only a few night trains compared to regular trains so it won't impact the overall punctuality drastically.

As long as the stop appeared in @deutschebahn.bsky.social app/website it would have been counted, so probably that could explain the reason!

In the detailed line tables on the website I cover for that with chuuchuu score which combines delay and cancellation metrics. Could do that on a country level!

In comparison, trains in 🇨🇭 excel in punctuality (also unexpected). The most delayed Swiss trains average 5 min delay or less.

The station in 🇩🇪 with the most delayed trains on average is Bonn-Beuel. Who knows why that might be?

🏆 The Top 10 most delayed trains are all in Germany. Most of them are night trains, all of them are trains that run long distances.
