Uh oh, raining in the run-up to the #belgianGP. Getting feelings of my first Spa race...in 2021:

~4hrs of waiting for the rain to stop, only for them to do 2 laps behind the safety car.

Will we get a repeat?

Every time I get a haircut, I see more gray hairs 😭

First it was mainly on right side of head, but now it's evening out and seeing some on the left.

I tend to go like 4-5wks between haircuts, so my hair tends to get a bit long. Which means the gray strands stay mostly hidden. Sigh. 🧓🏽

Yup I’m outside right now and didn’t immediately feel drenched when I walked outside!

Woke up, turned on main PC, and it went to Win recovery options. Restarts didn't work. 'Great start to week; I know what I'm doing this evening after work...😒"

Then remembered I plugged in an external NVME that was a laptop boot drive. Unplugged, rebooted, and it booted to Windows normally. Phew.

That was unexpected. Mid-season, too.

Using a Kill-A-Watt on my server, estimated it cost me like $30-40/mo to run. But that was a couple years ago and in a diff state.

Probably costs more where I'm at now. Plus using AC daily now (I keep it at 76-78F [~24-26C] when I'm home), saving $40/mo or more is a big deal.

Turned off my #homelab server for the summer. Gotta save⚡& 💵 somewhere!

Moved things like VPN, DNS, DDNS to other, low-power devices, like my Unifi gateway and a rPi.

Everything seems to be working. But gotta look deeper into Pi Hole and DNS. Really want to get properly set up. Next project.

Honestly, for exciting racing, I've turned to IndyCar and Formula E. Even Formulas 2 & 3 and F1 Academy are usually far more interesting.

At least getting some potentially exciting, spicy racing with the McLaren boys up front. Not like Lando is 10+ seconds up and just cruising to P1, a la Max in ole' days.

Hopefully Lawson can hang in the top 10. And maybe current backmarkers Yuki and Hadjar can climb up.

Max out in a lap 1 incident after Kimi locked up. And with Yuki starting in P18, probably no points.

Almost halfway through the #24HLeMans. I haven’t watched all of it; had to do some errands. But I have been awake for all of it. Now let’s see if I can last for the remaining 12hrs.

Most I’ve done watching a 24hr race in ~20hrs.

Also it's weird to hear the US anthem play at a podium ceremony. Since DS Penske is an American team that took home a 1-2.

Obviously never hear it in #Formula1 these days. Logan Sargeant couldn't make it happen 🫤

Excellent race, especially at the end there! So much fighting between Dan Ticktum, Taylor Barnard, and JEV. Wasn't sure who was going to finish P2!

And this track seemed perfect for the series! Will definitely stay up late tomorrow to watch them race Shanghai again
