FFT is great. But I think "Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together" (or its remaster "Reborn") is just slightly better. But it doesn't get nearly as much of a look.

If you haven't played it, highly recommend giving it a try after FFT!

Well that was a fun start to League Worlds. T1 murdered their way into the Swiss Stage.

I barely know what's going on in matches. I don't play League.

But it's not hard to see that T1's teamplay is insane.

Somehow, never played Chrono Cross...until today.

But I'm very familiar with the Chrono Cross main theme, "Scars of Time." Used to trawl the 'net and OCRemix for VG music, even games I hadn't played, back in the day. That said, I'd forgotten how good it is.

And that's Chrono Trigger all finished! Finally beat it completely on my own for the first time.

I say that because I defeated Lavos back on the SNES in the 90s...based on a previous Blockbuster renter's save file 😅

MY BODY IS READY.

I'm furloughed, so I'm doing exactly that: Playing Chrono Trigger all day.

I've put like 34hrs into Chrono Trigger these last 4 days. Originally played it on SNES, then played it on the DS, now on Steam. Still easily one of the best JRPGs of all time, IMO.

My 6yr old gaming laptop was getting sluggish. I don't use it for gaming much anymore. Still thought about replacing it.

But then saw RAM usage was always high. Like ~80% used always. So upgraded it with used sticks from eBay. 16➡️32GB.

No longer sluggish. And won't be eWaste anytime soon 👍🏽

Well, since I have so much time on my hands due to "recent events" (👀), I've picked up and started "Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles" and "Chrono Trigger."

I've played both a few times over the years, but never beat both. At least not on my own!

Finally got 100% of the achievements on a #Steam Game—Duck Detective: The Secret Salami

1st time on any game or platform, I think.

OK, only 7 achievements, with 6 gained just playing the game normally. And the 7th just barely any extra effort.

Doesn’t matter, still 100%’d it!

Friends bought Borderlands 4 on release. Been playing for a week. They're still bitching about lag and stutter.

This is what's wrong with gamers. Maybe don't buy Day 1. Maybe wait for reviews. Maybe stop giving $$ to studios that only optimize AFTER they got your money 💸

I should note that I'm saving the notes in cloud storage. We'll see how it goes accessing these once I install Obsidian on another computer.

Relatedly, I like how it saves individual notes as .md files.

See? Reddit all these years was useful for something: learning Markdown!

Downloaded and installed Obsidian. Been avoiding it for years since it seems one can easily go down the rabbit hole with it.

But having multiple unsaved tabs in Sublime Text, across multiple computers, is starting to get old. Plus lost some note when I wiped PCs to upgrade to Win11 😔

At my office building in DC the other day, there must've been hundreds swarming one of the doors. And I've seen recent videos on reddit of basically the same thing in other parts of NoVA. I've only been here for a year. I went from seeing one or none to seeing hundreds literally overnight.

It’s Friday. Yessssss.

Not that this week was hard or I got big plans this weekend. It wasn’t. I don’t.

This was my first summer here. I’m from the Midwest where it’s hot and humid during the summer.

This was a different level. Felt like Florida. Esp during that ~2wk period where it rained overnight and was sunny during the day. Absolutely miserable.

I literally just finished the Ace Attorney anime yesterday. I’ve played every AA game, including PWvAA. Finished Investigations 2 earlier this year, to complete the franchise.

OK so Tailscale is kinda neat. Like that it's basically always on VPN as long as I have an Internet connection. It's magic, I don't understand how it works, but I'll get there.

And maybe figure out a use for this. I use Wireguard, which works fine for my needs so far.
