What if the Big Law Firms Hadn’t Caved to Trump? It’s not inconceivable that, had the firms resisted the President’s executive orders, his momentum for lawlessness might have been curbed.

Law firms have an established duty to uphold the integrity of the system they work in, not only for their own benefit but for the benefit of society. If more of them had stood up to Trump, they might have curbed his lawlessness.

Trump and Noem plan to unleash their out of control, violent goons on the streets on a night usually reserved for families trick-or-treating. This wasn't a concern for parents this time a year ago.

Tell that to George Retes. This U.S. Army veteran and American citizen was wrongfully arrested and brutalized by ICE while simply trying to get to work.

I was part of the internal Trump administration team trying to convince the president to end the shutdown in 2018 - 2019 — for 35 days — before people went hungry, workers lost pay, and government services collapsed.

Here’s what I learned: he doesn’t give a shit.

Today marks 30 days of the Republicans’ shutdown.

Now, 42 million Americans, including 3.5 million Texans, are at risk of losing access to SNAP.

Enough with the games. It’s time for them to show up and do their damn jobs.
