Safe to say that after 48 hours in the retrobright chamber, Flowerburst is back to her original light blue! Her head is still a tad discolored but I think it's as good as it's gonna get- it was extremely discolored in the first place after all.

Gave her a god scrub and acetone spot-cleaning with not much luck. Let her soak in oxiclean for over two hours, and this is how that water looked after...

She’s still super rusty inside (her outside looks no different), but the rest should be able to get wiped up now

Mommy Bright Bouquet from the G1 Loving Family line. She’s extremely dirty but luckily no staining and it washed right off with good scrubbing. Didn’t get a pic of her cleaned off though.

Flowerburst, a G1 Sweetheart Sister pony. Her hair was braided by a previous owner. Her body is stained by rust, causing it to look grey-green instead of blue.

Rust, most-likely caused by her previous owner having her wet often, got so bad that it spread from the metal washer and crimp that kept her tail in place down to her tail fibers. This rust then spread to the vinyl, coating the entire inside on her body which in turn stained her outside.

Got pony mail! Flowerburst is stained by rust even on the outside. She’s supposed to be a bright light blue! I'm really hoping retrobrighting will bring some of it back, but I doubt it since her discoloration isn't sun-related. Good thing I've had a tetanus shot recently...
