The Democratic party is overrun with centrists that are Republican-lite. They dislike Progressives more than Republicans.

I spent some time traveling around Europe by train (and foot), and it was absolutely amazing. For a fraction of the price of a car rental I was able to travel all of England, France, Switzerland, Germany, and a few I can't remember anymore.

The current crop of corporate Dems has no plan, no vision, no heart, and definitely no soul. It's so sad to see, and it's no wonder loads of regular folks won't vote Dem. If anything, their inaction props up the likes of Stephanik, Tenny, and the other fascist crop of NY Republicans.

It is possible to hold both of these things true at the same time:

1) political violence is never an appropriate choice in a civilized society

2) Charlie Kirk’s dream is to create exactly the kind of society he currently lives in, as spoken from his own mouth

We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.

We don't have assistance in this country.

I paid tens of thousands into unemployment insurance. I'll give y'all one guess how much I've seen in unemployment after losing my job two years ago. (I filed four times, if I file again I'll be suing NYS)

Not a single one of the above programs works to lift people out of poverty. All of them are chronically underfunded. All of them have barriers to entry that prevent and limit participation. All of them will kick you off without strict adherence to a very strict and very demeaning set of rules.

Failing corporations in this country get (real) assistance.

Calling what we have today for individual assistance is a joke. Medicaid? Food stamps? Unemployment? Welfare?

Yes, children should consider their lifestyle choices more carefully and there would be no childhood poverty.

I'm on two years of unemployment with a degree in Computer Science from RIT and nearly 20 years of industry experience. Homophobia is the highest I've ever experienced.

Hormone therapy isn't irreversible and cis folks have nominal levels of the opposite sex hormone present. Hormone therapy is one of the safest treatments available.
