Well I'm old so I grew up with vinyl. But the strongest songs tend to be around the album flip. Plus you need to end the whole album on a strong song. But you can't have a limp opening track. I'm running through bands and artists in my head (& my fave albums), & they often have a really good opener.

Ok so the 8th best song is the first track? Out of 12?

In my mind the first track would normally be stronger than that... like maybe 3rd best? Or perhaps 4th.
