20+ years digital professional, now working in the travel sector. Apparently also a long-haired, beardy, occasional musician-type. All views my own.

06.11.2025 18:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You asked how rights will change? Right now I don't have to carry an ID and I strongly believe that will change.
21.10.2025 07:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just like passports are only used at borders and driving licences are only used with regards to driving issues. Oh wait, no they aren't... so of course a digital ID that 90% of adults will end up having to have on their phones won't suffer from function creep.
21.10.2025 07:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've launched 3 websites this year (though the project started last year). Waterfall delivery would not have delivered them in the same timescale, and the flexibility of agile made it easier to get the business to focus on core requirements as the deadlines loomed.
20.10.2025 22:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As I manage a trio of websites, I look forward to the extra time rooting around in the office fridge looking for cheese.
20.10.2025 22:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We have a pretty bad history of stop and search being abused in this country; no reason to make it easier for no benefit.
20.10.2025 22:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The one where I can anonymously go about my day and if the police really want to fuck with me it's going to cost them a ton of paper work. I've lived in a country with ID cards and watched it be used as a tool by the police when they want to start hassling you.
20.10.2025 22:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh, so it's not Spiders Nightclub in Hull? I thought that seemed a bit weird.
20.10.2025 21:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I came here to say this.
16.10.2025 19:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sisyphus had it easy, pushing a boulder up a hill for all eternity. He didn't have to get an 8 year old ready for school in the morning
14.10.2025 11:55 β π 162 π 4 π¬ 4 π 1An episode of Prime Suspect I think had a kid being run over because he was wearing headphones; this was a key revelation.
13.10.2025 09:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yes but the adaptor was under Β£10 and lets me plug in anything with a 3.5mm jack. So your assertion that because of the EU it's impossible to attach any analogue device to the Apple USB ports is nonsense really.
13.10.2025 07:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well 40-odd years ago I remember listening to a Sony Walkman cassette tape player as I took myself to school. So this isn't a new thing.
13.10.2025 01:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Seems odd as I can totally attach wired headphones to my ipad via the USB socket and a cheap adaptor.
13.10.2025 01:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I want to know how this was discovered. Presumably you thought you'd have a sneaky chocolate whilst waiting for the pot noodle to cool down and it fell in?
11.10.2025 08:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The far right has been legitimised by Labour, Conservatives and Reform and all those journalists and channels that have either failed to hold them to account or actively supported them - meanwhile, international law has been eviscerated - the weak, the cowardly and the greedy have succeeded

23.08.2025 09:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's funny, as I had assumed from your rather ranty comment earlier that you were a fully-fledged Master Baker.

21.05.2025 00:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well I'm old so I grew up with vinyl. But the strongest songs tend to be around the album flip. Plus you need to end the whole album on a strong song. But you can't have a limp opening track. I'm running through bands and artists in my head (& my fave albums), & they often have a really good opener.
12.05.2025 18:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ok so the 8th best song is the first track? Out of 12?
In my mind the first track would normally be stronger than that... like maybe 3rd best? Or perhaps 4th.
Really, track 1 should be the worst song?
