The worst were the extremist radical unschoolers. One time they jumped on me because my kid did worksheets. That she wanted to do. Said it was too much like regular school and therefore too coercive. ☠️

I homeschooled my own kid early on. I joined a lot of homeschool groups, and I saw a lot of passive neglect of those kids. People saying their kids were bored, begging to go. Then some parents really killed Their kids are better socialized and learn more than public school kids easy.

I got this from a YouTube broadcast called Actual Jake. (@actualjake.bsky.social). "Traditional Marriage in the 1950's was just a game of chicken to see if she would poison him before he sent her to get a lobotomy". I love it.

Not incorrect

I made some frankly preposterously good looking spaghetti for the kids. Fresh parm, homemade meatballs, fresh chopped basil. Restaurant looking stuff.

My 6 year old: Dad can I say heck?

Basically yeah!! My kid is wonderful and progressive and accepting and that's all I ever wanted 🥺 Just do a lot of research if you do. I found a website with the suggested milestones by grade level and then once a year I took like two weeks and created curriculum to meet those milestones.

I'm in Florida and my husband works at a middle school. I'm very pro homeschooling here and homeschooled my child until she moved to Mexico (she goes to a real school there, loves it, costs me $250 a month but I didn't want her in FL public schools)

I think it would help if we had mandatory mental health classes in school but that's too liberal

The problem is that most of these people are the type that think therapy is for crazy people and they can't possibly be crazy.
