I'd forgotten it was the 5th of November today. So I guess we need a catchier rhyme.

27.09.2025 22:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They are all great, but Granny Weatherwax is THE iconic Pratchett character in my opinion. Other opinions are available.
27.09.2025 21:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Mort is a very good starting place. Guards Guards is what I would follow with. Then, start the Witches series with Equal Rites, which is a little more raw, but still good. Then decide which set of characters you want to read about next (Death, The guards, or Esme Weatherwax), and go from there.
27.09.2025 21:58 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I will never get tired of actors who played the Doctor turning up to protest social injustice in not-quite-costume all "What? These are just my clothes. My everyday normal clothes. Now, this ends tonight, Ace!"
17.09.2025 20:56 โ ๐ 34 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Seattle is a great setting in the world because it's a massive urban sorawl surrounded by semi wilderness populated by elven and native american nations. It's a good microcosm of the world.

15.09.2025 18:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Berlin one is just out (or about to, I think). That would be just as good.
15.09.2025 18:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0After that, there are numerous source books focused in key areas like fighting, hacking, magic etc.
15.09.2025 18:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But get a printing with the errata! The first rules was amazingly error laden.
15.09.2025 18:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The "Core" is the core rules plus some setting stuff. Two popular settings are Seattle and Berlin. Either of those two would be enough to get going. I ran my first arcs in Seattle with just this book.
15.09.2025 18:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0That said, the setting is the draw, and to run it well you'll want to dive into that a bit. There is no one place for that really, sadly. I got a lot of mu knowledge from older supplements and a couple of podcasts.
15.09.2025 16:56 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sixth edition is current. The sixth world is a reference to the setting, and goes front and centre I assume because it matches the edition. You'll want the Core rulebook at the minimum. New Berlin edition just dropped. There are others, but early core rulebooks had a lot of errors.
