Morals have no bearing on the acquirement of knowledge. Take, for example. Kali and her rampage: whatever lives have been lost are wholly insignificant, as they are mere non-consequential statics in the grand schemes of things. In the grand scheme of obtaining true omniscience.

Inquiring and provoking, witnessing and contributing, ceasing and instigating... All of it has been for the sake of attaining more knowledge - more knowledge where more variables are at play; where there is more to be learnt.

Thus, she recognised what she needed to do: to be omniscient and know all outcomes, she had to 'experiment'. To truly know all outcomes, Faust has to witness them - and there is no better place than this world to witness whatever she needs.
