27.09.2025 14:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quite. Although I thought Larry Ellison is now the worlds richest man.
25.09.2025 06:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0After research, this gig seems to be in 1981.
16.09.2025 19:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0TOTALLY WIred!
29.08.2025 11:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I know itβs a bit easier to paint/draw than a Wales flagβ¦ that dragon is difficult! Anyway, walking all over England, eh? π
23.08.2025 17:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It already has been.
22.08.2025 21:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Werenβt there something like that in Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery?
11.08.2025 21:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0PS. At one gig, I was ordered by security to take my shoes off. I had genuinely damaged my right foot at the time, so had steelies for protection. Found myself in an 1980s mosh-pit situation, shoeless. I managed to avoid further damage, but pain endured. My footwear was returned to me at the end.
06.08.2025 08:18 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 02/2 He died on the day of the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, of Motor Neurone Disease. One of those very few 'long-life' friends we (hopefully) all have. So good that he's got mentioned. Andy Shingler. (Some great stories re last train catching, last night!)
06.08.2025 08:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 01/2 @gidcoe.bsky.social @marcrileydj.bsky.social Thanks for reading my email out last night re last train after gig. My friend Andy worked at Euston in the 1980s; we are going to gigs in London at least once weekly then. Andy, a friend from 1969 - lived in the next street. ...
06.08.2025 08:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Supermarkets feel like a cartel.
05.08.2025 06:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Beyond creepy.
28.07.2025 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0After the wall βcame downβ, otherwise this photo could never have happened.
21.07.2025 19:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Welcome to the club!
Ian Lee, Edgbaston
(I still take part when I can, to keep my brain ticking over!)
Noted.
04.07.2025 06:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It seems Sultana announced it without consulting Corbyn first. And heβs not pleased. Not good.
03.07.2025 21:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Donβt worry, Iβll always be even older (by 26 years) as long as Iβm here!
01.07.2025 00:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 040? Youβre getting old too fast, Gareth! π
30.06.2025 20:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0About the only thing that appears to have stayed the same at this festival. Maybe itβs time it changed, in light of the now mass corporationism, commercialism and media saturation.
26.06.2025 14:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As per this graphic. The UK itself.
23.06.2025 20:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Probably 1st place in the 19th century. So what?
21.06.2025 23:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We are still richer than France:
21.06.2025 11:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0The political establishment ARE the far-right.
15.06.2025 10:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks Roger. With hindsight, things would have been alright. But I thought at one stage, it was very serious. (Still wish Iβd been there). x
01.06.2025 21:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for on the door, but Iβve already brought a ticket.
01.06.2025 21:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My name is Ian.
01.06.2025 21:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0I was bloody ill (hospital A & E job- chest pains). Of all days. Ticket brought, trains sorted, accommodation booked. I was so disappointed. Still on the bright side - I feel fine now.
01.06.2025 18:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 02/2 the actual leisure pool itself, the bowls green, the cafe/bar, seeing gigs in the Compass Club, and one night, er, βconversingβ with a police officer whilst driving a car out of the car park. All good memories. Tragic that this leisure centre got demolished.
28.05.2025 22:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@osaumarezsmith.bsky.social 1/2. Been reading β100 20th-Century Sports and Leisure Buildingsβ today. Re your piece on βThe Leisure Centre Boomβ - me and my family often visited Bletchley Leisure Centre, from our nearby home town of Leighton Buzzard. Good memories of it, includingβ¦
28.05.2025 22:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What? Iβll make a note of that!
