This episode was an interesting challenge to write music for. Following the show as it transitions to a more serious tone. Allowing the music to mature, while making sure it still feels like Monkey Wrench

It’s still Monkey Wrench, but it’s a side to the show you maybe didn’t expect when you started

here's my roughs for Monkey Wrench episode 5! This became one of my all-time favorite animation gigs yet. It was a rare moment to try my hand at drama instead of comedy and reminded me of why I love this job, despite everything. 💖

correction: i forgot I had also pitched something else back in 2022 lol, but this recent pitch was my first time getting a positive response so I'm still considering it its own unique win. XD

i got to pitch a show for the first time this week! it was a manic rush to get enough stuff put together, but it got done and people seem like they dig it!

dunno if anything will happen from here, but i'm also happy to just have a bucket list item crossed off lol

oh dang, nice to see some love for this film here, i just rewatched it earlier this year! Was also impressed by how well it had aged. Jason and Filmcow as a whole have always been inspirational to me for their creative and honest stuff.

saw a post i liked on tumblr today.....didnt see that they'd posted it on their account here but i wish they would its a sentiment that resonated w me more than making "good" art it's just important to make art....thanks man

I've been getting my feet wet with it by using it for Patreon stuff: drafting posts and social media things, writing down drawing ideas, figuring out my schedule, keeping tabs on my timeline, goals and numbers... most of the stuff beyond the actual drawing and animating. :D

I recently got Obsidian set up with my server using syncthing and it's now hard for me to go back to using notion or other stuff again lol. Even though i'm only beginning to scratch the surface with it, it's already so good! Happy to see I'm not the only one toying with it lately haha

It's my boy's 30th Birthday so I wanted to celebrate.
