They are more polite, yet they:
Aid to a government enacting genocide, even after UN and ICC declare it such.
Arrest peaceful protesters, then detain for months without bail or hearing.
Champion AI, live facial recognition, and Digital ID despite criticism from 26 human rights orgs, incl. Amnesty..

I'm afraid, from my perspective, they have been far worse. The Tories had cruel rhetoric, and I'm no fan of them. Still, Labour have adopted the same right-wing talking points, and more importantly, acted on them. They haven't just not reduced inequality, they've made it worse...

Kansas just passed a monstrous bill enabling criminal penalties and vigilante lawsuits for trans people using the bathroom according to their gender identity and requires them to surrender their current drivers licenses and birth certificates if it does not match their sex assigned at birth.
