We can do so much more!

I don't post about it partially because most details I know are covered by confidentiality agreements and partially because I don't have the patience for the inevitable snarky replies about pharma and drug prices... but this comic expresses why I do what I do better than I ever have: xkcd.com/3172/

I am (tangentially, these days) involved in drug discovery and the sheer amount of amazing science that makes things like the new biologics possible is so humbling. Every little step of the process that makes a new drug involves an incredible amount of human ingenuity.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things
