You’ve got the up coming mothers day PR
Maybe time for a pre Easter bit from Catherine.
Then Charles and his bit on the side over Easter.
Maybe a new charity being launched in May.
Another piece about the kids.

Hopefully, Andrew will have been forgotten about by then.

Good luck selling your cars around the world then!!!

So he’s not sorry the figures he made were completely made up and wrong by a multitude factor. (God help Man Utd). And he’s not sorry for using the world colonisation.

I think he’s talking about politicians in this country to be honest and I’d agree with that.
The brexit vote was the template on how to conduct politics and it’s only been amplified since.

The analogy for me was blockchain.
We were told it would revolutionise banking, lead to mass efficiency gains, make everything secure and fool proof. Government claimed it would save billions on benefits, taxes, house and car ownership.
Companies launched and billions were invested.
All BS.

There is of course a happy medium.
It doesn’t have to be authoritarian/pander to reform voters or corbynism.

It could simply be the right policies, with the right management and good politics. Something Starmer is probably able to deliver if he now stops listening to McSweeney.

Yep.
First the future was Tesla solar, then powerbanks and batteries, then Tesla self drive, then crypto, then Tesla trucks, then Tesla taxis, now Tesla robots.
Starlink doesn’t make much for spacex, so now it’s super computers/ai in space.

Why do folks believe this?

I am old enough to remember when Enron did this. Created value for a parent company by over valued (and largely worthless takeovers).
I worked for an investment bank at the time and had to provide internal credit information to the house oversight committee.

It will end the same way.

The entire judgement and fine was a hangover of Conservative political pressure.
A bit like Ofcom thinking its main purpose is free speech.

What’s worse is that the OfS hasn’t backed down from what was an absurd position and fine.

Whereas, I can say he’s lying. He’s lied throughout his entire political life.

The Merriam Webster dictionary should have an entry of β€œdoing a mandelson” somebody who puts financial gain and gratification above political rules and laws, then lies to cover it up”

Tbf the Johnson govt used WhatsApp on govt phones like there was no tomorrow and that was years later.

Well done Arsenal women!!

Club champions of the world.

Throughly deserved and Corinthians didn’t deserve it to be honest.

It might just be me, I know she’s a very quiet person, but I think she gave so much in that champions league year that she’s a bit burnt out.
To be clear, we wouldn’t have won it without her.

Anyway, hope she doesn’t leave as she’s the best in the world in that position imo.

29.01.2026 18:15 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

So who’s leaving McCabe or Fox?

I’ve got a feeling it’s Fox. I don’t think she’s looked particularly happy, although always very professional, and for an American to come to Europe win a champions league medal and then go back to America with leadership/winning experience, must be tempting.

29.01.2026 15:11 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Just imo, but I think reform/goodwin will be far far worse for trans/immigrants/POC/even the far left, than the Labour candidate.
Any candidate would be better than legitimising Goodwins obscene views.
If you don’t believe it, that’s upto you, but I hope the people voting do.

How did that work out in the US?

28.01.2026 10:07 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Sounds about right.
Left wing of Labour refusing to vote Labour and letting in a racist far right nut job - to prove a point out of principle.

It’ll be interesting to see how the African and South American clubs deal with a cold and wet UK, particularly for the evening game.

I think it will be hard personally, given how many of them don’t play outside of their countries.

27.01.2026 18:21 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The word β€œintellectually” is doing a lot of lifting in that sentence.

She doesn’t know, so I can’t understand why.

If she did know, it’s debatable whether anyone is that family even has a heart.
Lawson and Monckton did more to harm climate change action than any two people in history, the lives they have/will cost will be measured in their millions.

β€œBurnhan isn’t even particularly left wing.”

Isn’t that the point.

How can the NEC give the go ahead to see Β£3-4m of manchesters budget spent/wasted because Mr Burnham has seen a better job come along?

The NEC might be controlled by blue Labour, but it doesn’t stop the decision from being right

25.01.2026 12:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The chances of reform winning the Manchester mayor vote were too high, and tax payers forking out the 3-4m cost of running the election again would have been absurd.
All for a long shot ego trip.
Only 1 NEC vote says it all really.

Fantastic win, and lessons learnt from the Man Utd game.
Two questions though.
How much of this win was because of the awfulness of Chelsea?
Is the upper management in the team capable of preventing another season like this one?

24.01.2026 18:13 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Voters hate stitch up deals, particularly when an MP leaves in disgrace with a big pay off.

Labour will be massively fractionalised and win or lose it won’t go down well

Unfortunately.
Feel free to bookmark this. But all his ambition will do is lead to reform winning the mayor of Manchester and all its powers when he has to step down. Everything he built will be ripped apart.

Just my opinion, but the people you don’t want in power are the people who really want it and will do anything to get it. Whichever side of the political spectrum they are on.
