15 years ago today, the Universal Cat Distribution System deposited this tiny, wormy, flea-infested little one on our front porch. I tried to find a home for her, but Kensi had already decided THIS was home and I was her human. I've learned to never question her again.

Still on target to finish this first draft by August 31. I'm solidly in the 3rd act and the pace is picking up. My favorite part of the drafting process. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Me, too. Had to get up and make coffee before the power went out! Priorities.

Time to celebrate. I turned in my proofread of No Stone Left Unturned this morning, which means I'm back to working on only ONE book for a while. Bonus: I'd been away from Stone long enough to have fresh eyes, & I have to say, I'm kinda happy with it! #booksky #writingcommunity

I finished it in two sittings. Definite page turner.

I'm working on 2 books this week. Still drafting one, doing (I hope!) the final proofread on another. So if I'm slow responding to questions or emails, that's why. #amwriting #amediting #writingcommunity

It's that time of year. The garden is overflowing with zucchini and yellow squash. Dinner today used 2 of them. Shrimp curry with veggies.

Oh, it absolutely is. And this morning's writing session was fire!

After taking a mental health day yesterday, I was able to plot out my next few chapters and have a good idea of where the rest of this book is going. I was trying to be a pantser (writes by the seat of my pants) but failed miserably. I am resigned to being a plotter. #amwriting
