The current name was felt to be lacking the same cultural heft as Greater London or Greater Manchester, and is often confused with the wider West Midlands region.

Stop spinning it like some scandal BBC. It’s dishonest Reform UK bias. Most of these councils won’t even exist in a year because of reorganisation. So these votes are basically a pointless waste of time and money. Councils asked for delays - most of them under Tories. The Government just agreed.

Just got back online to see a second GB gold at the winter Olympics for Huw Nightingale and Charlotte Bankes in snowboard cross.

First ever GB gold on snow and first time we've won two at the same winter Olympics.

This old dog was on the streets last night. She has been battling and a kind lady spotted her and called us.

She's weak and it'll take a long time to fix her but she's taking some big steps already. A gentle little soul who is safe now!
