There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

I don't think anyone outside of universities, pharma and biotech, independent research institutions have any idea of what is happening right now. If you haven't sounded the alarm among your friends, family and colleagues, now is the time to do it.

MAHA Report Appears to Plagiarize a 2023 Document Published During RFK Jr.’s Tenure at CHD The report maintains a veneer of inquiry, but its structure and many of its claims closely mirror those of a document produced under RFK Jr.'s leadership at another organization.

The MAHA report is an insult to every one who reads it, to the medical community, and to every serious public health scientist.

This is the first full NIRCam field for the HEFE large program on JWST. It’s part of a region of active star formation north of the Orion Nebula, near the top of Orion’s sword.
