On October 12, 1996 the Latino and Immigrants' Rights March was held in D.C. The Chinese Progressive Association (CPA) was one of many organizations to participate. A photo of the march held in CPA’s records shows a protestor holding a poster with a 1978 design by Chicana artist Yolanda López.

Recently, the @nu-archives.bsky.social held an open house for members of the @huntnewsnu.bsky.social to engage with the Northeastern News collection. Students flipped through bound copies of the newspapers and even browsed articles via microfilm.

On this day in 1956 Freedom House held an Open House Tea and Art Exhibit with photos from Otis Finley, a former Tuskegee Airman, who in 1961 became the associate director for education & youth services with the National Urban League. Second from the right is Freedom House co-founder Muriel Snowden.

This year marks the final season of Matthews Arena, the legendary home of Northeastern athletics and host of commencements, ceremonies, concerts, and more.
Here are a glimpse of some of the historical events to take place in Matthews since its acquisition by @northeasternu.bsky.social in 1979.
