β€˜Cause there’s two teams that gallop in the NFL…

Add in Traman, Shields, Newsome, Gilbert, and Julius Peppers, too. They give up <100yds passing/game. ILB is weak link position, though…Barnett starts, probably?

The entire administration operates under the idea that, β€œI’m not saying it because it’s true; it’s true because I said it”.

*whispers* ST problems are more about personnel than coaching

Strong agree. My phone died last week, and it took me a little over a week to get a replacement, and it was glorious. I still need one for work and 2FA for personal financial security, but the fact that this was the top post in my feed after a week of no Bluesky was quite appropriate.

He *can* make every throw because he has a great arm, but he just…doesn’t. He either makes an amazing play or sails a ball 10ft over a receiver’s head on the boundary with almost no in between.

Automatic replay of turnovers also contributed to slow whistles.

Defense is usually a β€œweakest link” unit, and the splits in the game for before vs after Cooper went out and McDuffie/Hopper came in are significant. It’s harder to hide backups on defense than it is to scheme around backups on offense.

Exactly! They were just about better off being down 10pts than they were being up 10.

This year’s team had more trouble when leading by 2 scores than they did when trailing. Handling success vs handling adversity. Maybe that’s opposite sides of the same coin and Salah’s quote still applies. I don’t know…

I actually think this applies more to when a team gets GB down by 10pts, how do they respond? Do they give up or keep fighting? It’s been a while since GB has had a β€œwe give up” game since the week 1 stinkers in β€˜21 and β€˜22. I’m probably forgetting some, but they’re much less common now.

Buyer beware when paying for a WR2 from a good offense.

A draft and develop team is, by definition, going to almost always be a young team, with all those young guys having to play on ST

The ST issues have been around long before both Bisaccia and MLF. In my opinion, it’s another organization/front office issue in player selection. For better or worse, they haven’t valued ST in roster building going back to at least TT’s run as GM

@jumosq.bsky.social has talked about GB assistant coaching decisions extensively on various APC podcasts. Basically comes down to GB doesn’t have unlimited $ and is conscience of not paying coaching buyouts, so that is more an org decision, not LaFeur

The narrative when MLF arrived was this offense takes a longer than average time to learn. Reed and Wicks were a mess for the first 10 games their rookie year, but they had to play because there was no other option. I expect Golden to be in the Doubs role next year.

This is true, but all of the bird murdering glass in MIN’s stadium does a fabulous job of making tv viewers forget it’s an indoor stadium. Only one I can think of that doesn’t look like trash on tv.

RE: HOF guys being lost the season, I submit both Nick Collins and Bakhtiari. While neither will be HOFers, that may only be true bc of the injuries. I’ll go to my grave *knowing* GB wins the SB in β€˜11, β€˜14, β€˜20, and β€˜21 without those 2 injuries.

And while we’re at it, QBs and K shouldn’t wear above #19. It’s an NFL adjacent example, but the BYU QB wearing #47 is a travesty
