12. SELLOUT by Dan Ozzi. Very cool read! As someone who followed the scene mostly from afar and only until about 2002, I found the chapters about bands I didn’t follow just as interesting as the ones I did. (The exclusion of Vagrant Records feels like a miss, though.) Strong rec 👍👍

there’s no shortcut around therapy, but in a pinch you can listen to “Maps” with the volume all the way up

this is what I keep thinking: I stopped writing the column after 2 or 3 years because there wasn't anything else to say. there shouldn't be a whole podcast industry around it! it's not a deep pool of content after "work on yourself" and "respect the people you date." it's just another grift.
