We all know that exercise is important, and many among us even rise early to walk the muscles, but how many of us take the time to rebraid our sinews, or to truly wash our marrows? Modern life leaves us with little time for grooming, and it's all too easy to allow our viscera to develop taut snarls.

Vultures are holy creatures.
Tending the dead.
Bowing low.
Bared head.
Whispers to cold flesh,
“Your old name is not your king.
I rename you ‘Everything.’”

Water is amazing. Called forth to serve from the depths, it comes into your life when you need it most. At one's beckoning, it flows to the side to perform tasks, to be devoured, to share a portion of existence. Our shapes are now more water than not. What more could one expect from one's familiar.

Ah pretzels.The most basic of alchemical creations. Sheaves of edible grasses ground fine form the dough for these delectable treats. Bound firmly into a sigil to prevent the yeast's escape, they are painted with a solution of potash to catalyze their rubedo transformation into crispy deliciousness.

I think today calls for homemade bread and some lentil soup! Maybe with some dried mushrooms to rehydrate in the broth and bacon or even lamb added, hmmm

A blasphemously delicious fusion of an apricot with a plum, the pluot transcends lesser produce with its thin wine-dark skin, luxuriously juicy sanguine flesh & a flavor that can only be described as 'the platonic ideal of red', as imagined by school children everywhere

I uncoil my muscles and stretch luxuriously into the grass, raking my claws through the dirt and delighting in the accumulated sensations and aches of a day spent in focused practice. Collapsing onto my flanks, I nuzzle into the soft blades and just lie, reveling in the sensation of earned weakness.

Tense muscles and raw paws sing high over the ground with the physical stress of a long day. Clinging to precarious edges and meticulously feeling out the friction and angles to gracefully flow from handhold to ledge, only the desperate quiver of abused muscles can tear me away from my vertical home
