13.04.2025 11:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The main image in the upper left corner shows a radial design created with 21st Century Pattern Blocks. The design begins with six heptagons arranged around a central hexagon. Each heptagon uses the same block arrangement in the first layer. Surrounding this, a second layer consists of 12 additional heptagons, constructed using a different block arrangement. The first two images along the bottom show the two distinct heptagons used in the design. Both heptagons (arranged differently) use 2 gray darts, 2 yellow hexagons, and 3 blue rhombuses. The three images on the right show the progression of the design.

An engaging story, and one that would make for some great classroom discussions! Includes a discussion and activity guide and connections to Common Core. Highly recommend!

More important, it is to prioritize student capacity to grow as thinkers, learners, and scholars so that long after kids leave our classrooms, they believe strongly in their ability to be valuable contributors to their communities.β βMiriam Plotinsky, Instructional Specialist
