Sorta. Just run ‘nix-shell’ on the nix file and you have all your deps mounted. Everything runs right in your host b/c it symlinks from a virtual drive.

NixOS or just shell? I think going all in with the OS is a huge choice.

The shell however, has been game changing for me on Mac. No more brew or sh install and managing versions. Just a nix file in my repo
