I'd rather ride my bike to get places. Becoming more involved so others can too. Also, maybe some sports stuff.

San Francisco City Football Club and SF Muni are excited to announce that the groundbreaking partnership promoting public transit and local footy is continuing for another two seasons.

The partnership remains cashless, with no money exchanged between the two parties.

So… The Bay Area Council’s β€œrally” to close the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge trail is being held in the middle of the freeway, only accessible by car. That basically says it all.

Tons of public resources being used for this event today. How is this legal?

UPDATE: The April 3rd Richmond-San Rafael Bridge trail vote is postponed again, this time indefinitely. Below is the info from the BCDC meeting agenda.

This delay is good news, likely a result of all the folks who wrote in and expressed their concerns about the trail closure proposal. Thank you!

Bicyclist vs the Bridge.

Owen Mulholland, 24, a veteran bicycle racer, was given a $15 traffic cidation on September 16 for riding ont he east pedestrian walk of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Today, at 8 AM, Mulholland expects to take the samer route from his home in San Francisco to the Marin civic center to answer the summons.
Mulholland, who is president of the San Francisco Wheelman, a bicycle racing club, said his bicycle is his only means of transportation.
Although the bridge allows bicycling on its west pedestrian walk on the weekends, it provides no bicycle route on week days.
"I've long felt this is an unnecessary discrimination against bicycle riders," Mulholland said, "and I've chosen to ignore the rule against ike riding ont he east walkay while being fully are of the consequences."
Mulholland said he plans to bicycle to the Marin civic center today "rain or shine" and hopes to appear at the traffic court promptly at 9 AM when it opens.
"Philosophically," he said, "I'm opposed to the point of view that cars are the only viable means of transportation."

According to the Marin Museum of Bicycling, Owen Mulholland (RIP) is the reason we can bike across the Golden Gate Bridge during the week.

Thanks to everybody who has followed along the last few months. We wanted to share a quick recap of what BCDC is voting on, and what's at stake.

A close up of the right sleeve with Idle Worship's logo. Copy reads: Custom sashiko patterns designed by Paolo Cui at Idle Worship, drawing inspiration from the ancient Japanese stitching technique. The sublimated stitches create a trompe-l'Ε“il effect, giving the illusion of texture on the fabric.

Chainlink patterns cover the front, while β€œdots” accent the sleeves. The back showcases a high-resolution scan of vintage linen provided by Idle Worship. Copper stitching throughout pays homage to classic denim jeans, while the club’s badge is recolored to mimic the iconic back patches found on them. Knitted collar and cuffs feature a red dotted line, reminiscent of selvedge jeans.
