I've done some optimisation for my game world, to make it easier on my laptop during development ๐Ÿ˜…

I've done some object pooling on the tiles, so that I'm rarely ever loading new ones, and I made it so chunks can be loaded in segments, so they don't render when not needed

Making more progress, Frogger game is actually somewhat playable and Iโ€™m getting the hang of signals and layers. Have even messed around with another course about Godot 3, solely because Iโ€™m a bit of a completionist sort. More soon!

I used to be like that tbh 4 years ago, it took me 2 years but I got off the programming rabbit hole and started creating my first game projects...
I wouldn't say it wasn't useful, but it was definitely overdoing it for what I was going for๐Ÿ˜…
All I'll say is, go at your own pace, you won't regret it.

I use both, but for this I'm using GDScript. Mostly because it's slightly faster to work with.
Later I may port it to C# when the other systems are done.
