If there’s one thing I’ve learned by driving more than 750 mi. (1200 km) through 7 states in one day, it’s that colonizers were lazy namers. How many Derrys, Jamestowns, and Middleburys do we need?
Not to mention, these places on unceded indigenous land probably already had names.

The folks who refuse to learn the names of trans and nonbinary folks sure are big fucking mad when you deadname the Gulf of Mexico.

I’ve been trying to balance being informed with my mental health & feeling guilty when I step away from media. I just read this & it helped me reframe.

Making these patches for future mending project is helping keep my hands busy and my mind calm(er).
