I think people should be pretty angry that a handful of men unilaterally decided culture, art and civilization should be fed into a woodchipper so they could attract VC funding.

I think its good and correct to dunk on clips of this Ai Reality shit when it hits your feeds but do everything in your power to NOT give this thing views.

I miss a lot of things about my grandmothers, but what strikes me is how little -- if any -- of it is centered in what a Large Language Model or generated images or video or audio could give me back.

It's the rooms that my imagination still dwells in.

It does actually Bother Me that so many talented TTRPG writers who write for major companies (Paizo included, this is not a callout of anyone in particular but the whole industry) are broke as fuck when people who play the game for money are charging much more for the hour than the writers get.

Even as a streamer, content creator, influencer, whatever, I don't think I'm very good at it because I'll be real honest about "this thing is fun or cool, but if you can't afford it, don't buy it."

Looking at the magic card game hobby is really stressful for me because it's fun, but a money hole.

I tell people all the time, I don't want to protect my BBEG because they're my OC Do Not Steal or because I enjoy seeing you suffer. I *want* you to succeed. I *want* you to beat them.

I also want to deliver the fact they're a big-ass threat and you should be scared of them.

I dig it! Been busy with my own freelancing, so I haven’t played much, but I’ve enjoyed what I have done (plus the APs I’ve listened to). Making NPCs/antagonists is a breeze, which is a big thing I care about. Definitely a game cut from a different cloth than WoD/CofD, but also a worthy successor.

Why is Ashem at the top of that list? I rewrote it for 2e and damn there is a lot of me in that Decree.

The most damning thing about how White fantasy authors write slavery is how every time it's the most American take on chattel slavery possible. Just the laziest, least historically informed take on a subject stretching millennia, and it reads the same way men writing sexual assault does: terribly.

People are always surprised to learn how little creators actually own in comics, games, etc. Big corporate brands are usually built on a work-for-hire model, meaning creators get paid once and then the *company* owns their ideas forever. This is why independent/creator-owned work is so important.

Artist alleys at comic cons bum me out sometimes because I’ll see artists who’ve inspired me my whole life grinding away hour by hour when they should all be comfortable as hell and doing whatever they want, making whatever they want. I want that for everybody!

I don't know what converage was like in 1989, but Polytechnique massacre happened today, there'd be all these think pieces about how the shooter wasn't that bad of a guy and how the left is failing to confront the men's mental health crisis and has feminism gone too far.
