Back in the 90s I had a conversation with a projectionist colleague who was very into analyzing the structural breakdown of films by their reel breaks. In particular, Braveheart and its 8 reels/ acts. It gets lonely in the booth.

Also impressed by those initial algo suggestions and the curated playlists labels/artists (ninja tune’s office playlist, Four Tet’s 160 hour playlist). But a lot of that was just a great booster pack for when I got off the system. And most of what I listen to now, it would nvr suggest.

I think I’ve bought 35 mostly used CDs this year. Absolute bargain media. Most of them feel like a 1990-2005 era. Sort of like buying N64 games. That’s just what CDs do!
