I will be testifying at this panel also, along with @beidelson.bsky.social and Eugene Volokh. it should be interesting bc panelists are very far apart: Did the fed gov do too little to repress antisemitic student speech on campus after Oct 2023? or did it instead flagrantly violate 1A rights?

@dividedargument.bsky.social was discussing the source of the phrase "no, no, a thousand times no," which appears in footnote 6 of the Chief's opinion in Learning Resources. One potential source is Flaubert's Madame Bovary, published in 1856. See the last line of part II, chapter 12.

β€œThe terms governing how the military uses the most transformative technology of the century are being set through bilateral haggling between a defense secretary and a startup CEO, with no democratic input and no durable constraints. Congress should be setting these rules.

There's three votes for anything on the supreme court. If trump said "I'm the god-king of arrakis" he'd get three votes and a lengthy opinion about the long history and tradition of english common law with regards to the spice melange

They didn't mention this I'm the studies I read, but I’m sure it's possible. This was particularly pronounced among youg women. Possibly related to estrogen as well as the usual lifestyle culprits including vaping, and stimulant use, etc. I also wonder if a higher incidence of ADHD Dx (stimulants).

The Conservative Legal Advocates Working to Kill Trump’s Tariffs The New Civil Liberties Alliance is mounting a constitutional challenge to one of the biggest policy questions of our time. Will others follow?

I wrote about some of them here. But there are so many other lawyers and businesses who stepped up.
