Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job. When you eventually replace that laid off employee, I donβt care if theyβve got 30 years of experience and dozens of games under their belt. They still have to learn the pipeline, the software, the systems.

I love video games and the people who make them but I'm going to cheer for new trailers or news when the industry is openly attacking the same creative people who allow it to exist. It feels deeply strange to pretend like this is just another year, and I'm not that interested in participating.
