It’s my museum piece now, the only model kit left from my childhood

and it got shattered 😭 over the years despite its (toxic) enamel paint standing as a rock 🪨

2nd year 👎 - a native French speaker teaching. Doesn’t speak the Dutch language, couldn’t understand/explain why we made language mistakes and how to improve.

Quit the course hoping to resume it once.

I just use the Vallejo metallic colours. Guess it will do for my KLM DC-10 passenger jet making it look as having done many flights all over the world 🌏

Had several H0 00 figures in my childhood but I never had the Romans. I remembered the Waterloo French Cavalry (Cuirassiers) cavalrymen drowning in tons of glue to have them seated on their horses 🫣😅

Guess that Sherwood castle & Robin Hood & the Sheriff of Nottingham figurines set really must be one of Airfix bestsellers. In our childhoods it seems we all had them, even me 😅

In my case the figurines set got lost but despite the memories I am not going to buy them again.

Nice 🤩 I never was interested in building tanks. I guess it had to do with those 1:72 Airfix tanks and its horrible tracks just being a piece of rubber 🫣

All look great great but the tanks of the baddies still bad and the tank of the baddie not a baddie anymore still look the best 😅

Not all of them, some of them I won't miss as some bullying was involved. Memories getting sweeter as you're getting older 😉

It is the truth. On finishing primary school and going towards the secondary school each went his/her own way and I never realized I wouldn't see my former classmates again with whom I had been playing outside for many years.

So the engines are pre painted and now the time has come for assembling them. In the end I will try to let the engines look like those of the B-747 at the aviation museum Aviodrome (NL) only not that weathered 🌫️

Cockpit interior and chairs. Seems its dashboards were black. Gave the chairs a KLM-blue colour.

Match fixing is also one of the many unwanted side effects. Scandals everywhere. Anyways, I am neither interested in football nor gambling so it won't affect me. I am more interested in my stash of unbuilt model kits 😉

Nice priming. I (still) use Vallejo Grey primer (not the best primer according to many). Vallejo grey primer is known/notorious to gum up on sanding if it hasn’t cured long enough (24 hours or even longer...). How long did it take before you could sand your primer?

Nice, what did you do with the engines inner side? I gave mine a dark gray colour but I guess it might be somewhat too dark 🤔

Does that result in their 🇯🇵-texts are translated to 🇬🇧and our 🇬🇧 is translated to 🇯🇵 ?

Airfix rereleased in 2026 the Robin Hood Figurines Set. Guess most of us had them In their childhood. Which box art best depicts the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham? IMO the 70’s box art is still hilarious, crush that peasant scum 😅

Wow 🤩 did Airfix really rereleased the HMS King George V and the HMS Nelson as 2026 vintage classics? 1:600 ships are also on my bucket list.

It won’t look good for my #buildthestash 😅 if they decide to rerelease the HMS Warspite as well.

Feels so definitive when a build you'd spent lots of time on has come to end. Something that is finally over as if it has died 🪦⚱️

Rushing towards the next model kit 🐣 in the stash is the best cure to get rid of that feeling 😅

Left that platform a year ago. Some folks over there are nice, others are not. Did not say goodbye anyway and quietly left. Guess in the end we will see the nice persons over here 😎
